We’re shooting a video and you can help!

Hey everyone!
As you may know, we’re planning a tour for the entire month of April. We will be announcing that information, in February. We just have to wait on all the contracts and such to be finalized. That said, we have a lot of preparations we’re currently doing. Things like working with High Road Publicity on a press campaign, as well as a radio campaign through them that just started. We’re also very happy to say that we have also chosen a director to shoot a video for our track Take Control. We have spent a TON of money preparing for this tour and we want to do it right, so we have come back around to the time where we have to start asking for a little help through our GoFundMe page. We don’t want you to donate if you aren’t able, that’s not who we are. If you are able, even if it’s as little as $5, it can and will make a difference. If you donate at least $5, simply email us at and we will happily send you a download code for the album. If you have the album, share it with a friend!!

We are looking to raise roughly $1500 to finish out the budget for our video. The rest, (Publicity, Booking Agent, Van Maintenance, Camera Rental, Photography) we have already paid for out of our own pocket. We can’t thank you enough for what you have already done and we promise, this tour, we’re gonna bring it!! You won’t be disappointed and we are chomping at the bit to come see everyone again! #TeamPOYNTE is amazing and we thank you with everything in us.

If you are in the Atlanta area and would want to help with the video, hit us up at We’re planning it for the weekend of Saturday, February 27th.

See you VERY soon!
– Matt, Kenny, Jake, Josh and Ben

Ten Bands To Look For In 2015

Hey Guys!
Matt from POYNTE here. Just wanted to take a few minutes to make a video. As the year comes to an end I have been thinking a lot about what we as a band and as the POYNTE family have accomplished. We have all worked really hard to grow our brand and spread our family to the masses. 2015 brought a lot of firsts for POYNTE. We released our first full length album. Shot our first ever music video. Went on our first National tour. And we sold and shipped CDs to over 31 different countries.

Everyone should take pride in this, cause we didn’t do it alone. When you play music and work hard getting it out there, its sometimes easy to fall into a pattern where other bands at your level are thought of as competition. Which is very detrimental to the lively hood of the music scene. It’s not a competition at all. I’ve never met someone with only one band on their ipod or phone. That said in this video I want to share a very small list of bands I think are doing big things. So without further adieu, I present 10 bands to watch for in 2016.

Before I introduce the first band, I want to clarify that these are in no specific order. Hope you enjoy.

TRAPT Tour Journal Second Leg (Running Posts)

Hey Everyone! Hope you are well. We thought we’d do something a little different and do a tour diary of sorts. We hope you enjoy our journey with us! Lots of photos and insight coming up!

TOUR JOURNAL REBOOT – DAY ONE (SECOND LEG): I’d like to start this entry by saying that this tour has been amazing.  The end of the first run marked the end of our time on tour with our brothers Guns Out At Sundown…  🙁 but…that’s OK,  we stole one of them!! Bwahahaha Welcome Keith Gentry, AKA Roadie, as our merch guy for this second half of the tour.  Guys, we promise that we will make sure he doesn’t starve, and try our best to keep him from wandering into traffic. He does love traffic

TRAPT Tour Journal First Leg (Running Posts)

Hey Everyone! Hope you are well. We thought we’d do something a little different and do a tour diary of sorts. We hope you enjoy our journey with us! Lots of photos and insight coming up!

Today has been fun, but quite tiring. We were suppose to pack and load the trailer last night, but the storms had another plan for us. Instead we used the time to get a very solid last rehearsal in before our show in Kansas City, KS on Friday. Not loading the trailer meant we had to start quite a bit earlier than we initially planned. You never quite realize how much a band has to carry on the road until you load it at 7 in the morning. We finally got on the road about 11am or so, and headed to our bass player Ben’s house. We scooped him up and were on our way. 5 hours of riding, sleeping, joking, and more sleeping we make it to Nashville to pick up our new merch! Man it looks awesome BTW. Then we hit up a Kroger, and got stuff to cook burgers and dogs. We are all pretty damn hungry at this point haha. Now, we are headed to Beth Snoddy’s house to cook and rest before our long trip tomorrow! Catch ya’ll soon! – Matt

Day One Tour Diary

Merch Day One

When I first started to type this out, my phone auto corrected the word ‘journal’ to ‘journey’… I found that to be quite fitting. Today has been mostly a lot of driving. We spent the night folding our new merch and watching the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. (which is badass) I can tell you this,

The Video for Hold On is finally here!!

Atlanta, GA based modern rockers POYNTE have released their debut music video for Hold On. Their first single from their THC : Music release, titled Discreet Enemy.

After surviving a horrific scissor lift accident which left him with a titanium jaw, POYNTE vocalist Kenny Hathorne is a living testament to the inspiring lyrics of Hold On. Kenny poured his heart and soul into developing a song that conveyed not only his determination, but his will to rise above his tragedy. Hold On is the end result. It’s a song about believing in yourself and never giving up on your own dreams. Staying the course, no matter the obstacles you encounter in your journey.
