April 2016 Tour Journal Week One

OK ladies and gents, it’s that time again for my daily tour journal!

So…  Where to start? The beginning I suppose. We started our day early yesterday, doing some general maintenance to our van and trailer.  Bus call was 11am,  but in true POYNTE fashion we didn’t roll out till a half past noon… Daddy Rabbit, again…smh

With the extra time we had,  Bryan and I  set out to find a tour mascot. From this adventure (more…)

POYNTE Teases New Video For Track “Take Control”.

POYNTE is poised to unleash a powerful video in March for their track “Take Control”. The second single and video from their critically acclaimed debut, ‘Discreet Enemy‘. The track is featured on over 50 online radio stations and will be serviced to terrestrial radio in March. “Take Control” was recently featured on the MMA World Series of Fighting on NBCSN.

Working with Director Andrew Burn, POYNTE shot the video in Atlanta recently and released a movie poster style image to excite their fans. Founding Guitarist Matt Bryant stated, “Everything we do has a purpose. From the intro of the album, to the artwork, to this video…it all ties together. We took our vision and the art that Alan Barnes created and we brought it to life and we can’t wait for everyone to see the end result.

We’re shooting a video and you can help!

Hey everyone!
As you may know, we’re planning a tour for the entire month of April. We will be announcing that information, in February. We just have to wait on all the contracts and such to be finalized. That said, we have a lot of preparations we’re currently doing. Things like working with High Road Publicity on a press campaign, as well as a radio campaign through them that just started. We’re also very happy to say that we have also chosen a director to shoot a video for our track Take Control. We have spent a TON of money preparing for this tour and we want to do it right, so we have come back around to the time where we have to start asking for a little help through our GoFundMe page. We don’t want you to donate if you aren’t able, that’s not who we are. If you are able, even if it’s as little as $5, it can and will make a difference. If you donate at least $5, simply email us at band@poynte.com and we will happily send you a download code for the album. If you have the album, share it with a friend!!

We are looking to raise roughly $1500 to finish out the budget for our video. The rest, (Publicity, Booking Agent, Van Maintenance, Camera Rental, Photography) we have already paid for out of our own pocket. We can’t thank you enough for what you have already done and we promise, this tour, we’re gonna bring it!! You won’t be disappointed and we are chomping at the bit to come see everyone again! #TeamPOYNTE is amazing and we thank you with everything in us.

If you are in the Atlanta area and would want to help with the video, hit us up at band@poynte.com We’re planning it for the weekend of Saturday, February 27th.

See you VERY soon!
– Matt, Kenny, Jake, Josh and Ben

Ten Bands To Look For In 2015

Hey Guys!
Matt from POYNTE here. Just wanted to take a few minutes to make a video. As the year comes to an end I have been thinking a lot about what we as a band and as the POYNTE family have accomplished. We have all worked really hard to grow our brand and spread our family to the masses. 2015 brought a lot of firsts for POYNTE. We released our first full length album. Shot our first ever music video. Went on our first National tour. And we sold and shipped CDs to over 31 different countries.

Everyone should take pride in this, cause we didn’t do it alone. When you play music and work hard getting it out there, its sometimes easy to fall into a pattern where other bands at your level are thought of as competition. Which is very detrimental to the lively hood of the music scene. It’s not a competition at all. I’ve never met someone with only one band on their ipod or phone. That said in this video I want to share a very small list of bands I think are doing big things. So without further adieu, I present 10 bands to watch for in 2016.

Before I introduce the first band, I want to clarify that these are in no specific order. Hope you enjoy.
